Find out how much of your planche actually counts.
Film one attempt side-on. SkillScan checks it against the rulebook gymnastics judges use and gives you two numbers, seconds held and seconds clean, plus the fault behind the gap.

A diagram, not a real athlete's scan. A stopwatch would say 7.1 seconds. 4.4 of them stayed inside the Code of Points limits for bent arms and body line.
Seconds clean, not seconds held
Your stopwatch tells you how long you were up. SkillScan tells you how many of those seconds stayed inside the tightest limits in the FIG Men's Artistic Gymnastics Code of Points FIG MAG CoP 2025-2028 · Art. 9.2. The gap between the two numbers is your next fix.
How a scan works
- Pick the tier you're attempting: tuck, advanced tuck, straddle or full.
- Film one attempt side-on with the phone propped up and your whole body in frame, or pick a clip you already filmed.
- Get seconds held, seconds clean, the fault that cost the difference (elbows, body line or hips) and the frame where it broke.
If SkillScan can't read a clip, it says so instead of returning a number.
Free, and what's paid
Scanning is free every session. A free scan gives you both numbers, the break frame, a replay with your skeleton drawn over the hold, a share video and your place on the progression map from tuck to full.
The paid part is the Next Tier Plan: weekly training sessions dosed from your own measured hold and re-planned after every scan, plus your full history of scans. It costs $89.99 a year or $9.99 a month. The first 100 members pay $39.99 a year, and the annual plan starts with a free week.
Your video
The clip is deleted as soon as it's measured. What your file keeps is the skeleton, a stick figure moving over time, with no footage.
SkillScan runs on iPhone (iOS 15 or later). It does the planche and nothing else.

SkillScan vs Calis AI: two ways to scan a planche
Both apps scan a planche from your phone. They measure different things, charge in different ways and treat your video differently. A side-by-side from the person who builds one of them, with every claim about the other sourced.

How long do you have to hold a planche for it to count?
Two seconds from a complete stop, in a shape the gymnastics rulebook still recognizes. What that means for your elbows and your body line, and how to time your own hold so the number is honest.
